Life-Link.app is a wellness and communication tool. It is not a
substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or
treatment. In life-threatening emergencies, contact emergency
services immediately.
Life-Link.app is a wellness and communication tool for
families and trusted friends.
Primary users share wellbeing updates; emergency contacts
monitor and respond when needed.
Key features include status check-ins, emergency alerts,
group chat, timeline, and privacy controls.
✍️ Chapter 2: Registration & Profile Setup
Create a new account on Life-Link.app, then log onto the app
after verification.
Set profile basics: full name, email, and optional mobile
number.
Keep profile details current so contacts can recognize and
trust requests quickly.
⚙️ Chapter 3: Understanding Your Settings
Recommended Settings is recommended for most users.
Advanced users can disable Recommended Settings and tune
each notification type.
Location sharing is optional but essential for effective
emergency location sharing during an emergency.
👥 Chapter 4: Emergency Contacts System
Emergency contact relationships are consent-based and
two-way.
Aim for a small, reliable support circle (often 2 to 4
people).
Review your contact list regularly as people and
circumstances change.
📧 Chapter 5: Sending & Managing Invitations
Use the Contacts page to send requests and track
pending/accepted/declined status.
If someone is not registered yet, invite them to the app
first, then reconnect.
Talk to people directly if they are unsure about
responsibility or privacy.
💚 Chapter 6: Health Status Updates
Post simple, honest check-ins regularly (daily is ideal).
Use optional notes to add context which family / carers can
understand quickly.
Wellness reminders help keep a consistent routine.
🚨 Chapter 7: Emergency Support ("I NEED HELP!")
Use emergency alerts for urgent support, not as a
replacement for emergency services.
Emergency alerts notify contacts immediately and provide
response context.
If sent by mistake, post a normal status update quickly to
resolve the alert.
💬 Chapter 8: One to One Chat
One to One chat is for practical supportive communication,
available on the Contacts page.
Only you and the person you selected can read your
conversation.
Use phone calls for private or urgent conversations
requiring immediate back-and-forth.
📢 Chapter 9: One Way Group Messages
Group Messages are one-way broadcasts sent from the Contacts
page to either "My Emergency Contacts" or "People I Monitor".
Recipients read these updates in the Group Messages pages
using the "View incoming messages" links on Contacts.
Recipients acknowledge messages by tapping "Mark as read";
senders then see read status text such as "Read by..." on
their sent message cards.
Group Messages are for simple non-urgent updates; for
back-and-forth discussion use One to One chat or phone calls.
Push notifications may open recipients directly to the
incoming Group Messages view when notification permissions and
tokens are active.
🤝 Chapter 10: Carer Response and Coordination
When someone you support sets I NEED HELP!, you get an
emergency alert. The alert shows who needs help and any
message they added — it does not ask you to pick a response
type there.
On that alert, tap Acknowledge Alert first so the app knows
you have seen it. Then tap Go to Timeline Page — that button
takes you to Timeline, where you record what you are doing.
On Timeline, find their I NEED HELP entry and tap My
Response to leave a short note other carers can read (for
example "Calling them now" or "On my way — about 15 minutes").
That is how you share your actions with the rest of the
support circle.
Use My Response notes together with One to One chat or a
phone call when you need quick back-and-forth; the app helps
everyone stay aligned, not replace direct contact.
In life-threatening situations, contact emergency services
first. Life-Link is for coordinating with people who care
about you, not a substitute for 000 / 911.
📊 Chapter 11: Timeline & Monitoring
Timeline helps contacts spot patterns and respond early to
concerns.
Use recent trends (not single events only) when deciding if
follow-up is needed.
Coordinate with other contacts to avoid duplicate actions.
🔔 Chapter 12: Notifications & Alerts
Keep emergency notifications enabled.
If alerts are missing, check app settings, device
permissions, and spam folders.
If alerts are overwhelming, customize non-critical
notification types.
🔒 Chapter 13: Privacy & Security
Life-Link.app is built around private, consent-based
sharing.
Data is intended for your trusted contact network and core
app operations.
Review privacy settings regularly and use strong account
hygiene.
🛠️ Chapter 14: Troubleshooting & FAQ
Common issues: login resets, missing notifications,
invitation delivery, and connectivity.
Many problems are solved by checking settings and refreshing
app/browser state.
If a technical issue occurs during a true emergency, contact
emergency services first.
